One of the main aims I had when I set my business up last year was to provide an all-round service for my clients. I didn’t really want to just sit at my desk and type letters up or produce power point presentations day in, day out.

Of course, as a virtual PA a lot of the work I do is admin based and that is great, I really enjoy that side of my work, but what I also enjoy is working with my clients to find solutions and answers to problems. I am always amazed when clients come to me with questions and ask my advice, it gives me a real boost that they would consider listening to what I have to say on something – after all, in most cases my clients have been business owners far longer than I have.

I don’t know anyone who is an expert in absolutely every aspect of running a business. Each business genre has its own unique quirks which need to be taken in to account. I do however have a big network of contacts. Each contact within that ever-growing network is an expert in something. When a client comes to me with a query I am more than happy to say that I don’t have the answer myself, but I usually know someone who does. This leads me back to my initial goal of being “the missing piece from your business”.
